How notifications work
Unread alerts carry a dot and a tinted row; Mark read clears the dot but keeps the alert.
Archive hides one for good. Use the chips to filter by kind (task, review, finance, ...).
The left stripe shows severity (info / success / warning / error). To tidy up, Mark all read then
Archive read clears everything you have already seen while leaving anything still unread.
