Feature Catalog & Licensing Drip

What it does

The Feature Catalog lists pipeline modules (render farm, provenance, HR, etc.) with tier and release month. Per license key you toggle entitlements and optional drip schedule so customers receive features gradually.

How to read it

• Released - module is ON for that license today.
• Drip month - auto-enables on the 1st of that month if not already on.
• DCC/installer calls /api/licensing/released-features with the license key.

What to do

After shipping a module, set its catalog release month and enable entitlements for pilot keys first. Use presets for Studio vs Solo bundles. Refresh does not affect already-running Houdini sessions until restart.

1. Review Studio Settings: timezone, modules, license entitlements.
2. Run health/selftests after deploy (Railway boot).
3. Seed or refresh Help Center after catalog updates.
4. Audit open attendance sessions and farm workers weekly.

Gotchas

• Schema migrations run at boot - never interleave data backfills manually.
• Reload Help Center after upgrading app suite versions.
