Boi Render

Use the pipeline render shelf to submit ROPs. Jobs appear in the farm queue within seconds.

Open job detail for chunk status, logs, and PEID lineage on completed frames.

Overview

Send a render from Houdini to the farm queue.

Steps

1. Submit from DCC with ROP/output paths the workers can read.
2. Watch the scoped queue (My Work / My Shows / Whole Farm).
3. Retry failed chunks; escalate stuck jobs to wrangler.
4. Review render cost on hot shots if you have oversight access.

Gotchas

• Workers must read the same NAS/Tailscale paths as artists.
• Render cost appears after job completion, not at queue time.
